let's call them "mini-domes"

Wa-Po has an article that describes the problems encountered by officials in the small town of Jasper, TX when motorists ran out of gas and wound up on their doorstep Friday afternoon. I suspect there are alot more stories like this stretching from houston to dallas, austin, and other points inland. After weeks of derision from politicians and political pundits for the "debacle" created by Blanco for lack of planning it will be interesting to see how this is spun.

Goodhair   is pleading with Texans to delay returning to their homes has more to do with the gasoline shortage in Texas than the need to get first responders, nurses, etc. on the road. If its true that 2.8 million texans evacuated (a number I think is highly inflated) then it will take at a lot of gas to get them home. Gov. Blanco is already pleading with the public (U.S. and LA) to conserve gas because of shortages.

If stations in towns like Jasper can't get the gas to fuel up their accidental evacuees then we have a lot of frustrated locals and guests whose tempers will be flaring before too long. Can these mini-domes turn into a TX super-dome
